Starting to get worried

My 22 month old has just started attending stay and play sessions and he sticks out due to his behaviour over there.

He runs around the room from one toy to another and will either play with it for a few seconds, or throws the toy on the floor, or pick it up and place it somewhere else in the room. Then He will move onto the next toy and do the same. He is also unstoppable when he does this and is constantly on the go.

He doesn’t follow any instructions or even respond whilst over there. He gets upset when ask to help tidy up and will throw himself on the floor.

He also doesn’t have any language, though I have heard him say few words when he was much younger.

I can’t help but compare him to all the other children in the room.

Firstly, try not to compare.
What you describe and I'm not medical in anyway but sounds like normal 22 month old behaviour.

They have an attention span of a nat and it's not uncommon for them not to be saying words before 2. If you're concerned talk to your GP or HV.

Personally, I wouldn't be concerned by his behaviour but if you are do contact someone.
