3yo tired and irritable after going up a nursery class

Hi all

DD has recently gone up a class at nursery and since then she’s been a bit of a nightmare. She’s very tantrummy all of a sudden and also very tired - this morning she refused to get out of bed which she has never done before! She’s also asked if she can go back to her old nursery class ☹️

Is this a normal phase? TIA x

I’m not there yet but I’d guess it’s within the realms of normal… have they changed/stopped her nap?

How long has it been? Can you put her to bed earlier? Is she in everyday?

I was going to ask if they'd stopped her nap as well

Yep if she has moved to the preschool room she won't be having a nap anymore.

Are they expecting a lot more independence from her in her new class than she's used to? Stuff that like might be tiring her out.

With wanting to go back to her old class, does she have any friends that she's left behind? She might just be missing them, or missing any grown ups that she's built up a good relationship with.
