My child has been on mirilax for the past few weeks for constipatjon. He also had the flu. He's been through a lot! For 2 weeks now every day he says his tummy hurts. He is able to play , dance, have fun , but about 5 times a day he'll stop and say it hurts. His stool sample did test faintly for blood. The doctor is sending us to a pediatric gastroenterologist but that's 4 weeks away! Has anyone experienced anything like this? My sister in law told me the mirilax may be causing the pain so I stopped the mirilax three days ago but it's still happening. Wonder if it could still be in his system? Also the dr started him ok Pepcid 3 days ago but no change yet. I'm so distraught . The good thing is it doesnt seem to be bad pain, he says it's just a little bit but still why every day??
