When to change teat on bottle

Hiya looking for some advice.
My son is 12 weeks old and still on no1 teat t.tippee
Somebody mentioned he should be on size 2 teat now as 3months.
I have tried them but he chokes a few times and milk just spills out,shall i perservere or stick to my normal teats for now?

Carry on if he's doing well with it. My boy is 5 months and he's on size 2, occasionally size 1. He takes size 1 better as his reflux is dreadful with size 2 and brings up a lot/chokes.
As long as baby is fed it doesn't matter x

Change when he needs to, not when a printed label tells you to. Presumably you dress him in clothes that fit him, regardless of what label is in them - same premise. If the first ones are working for him, keep going and when you notice he's ready for the next ones, then try the new ones.

For my baby I did buy the bigger teats as recommended...but we use the first ones still...she uses both but gets on better with the first ones. There is no rule to change, just change if you need to. She's 12 months this week for reference.

I just changed when he started taking ages to drink a bottle. Can't actually remember how old he was.

If he's happy on them it's all good
