have you thought about a mei tai? they are very easy to get little one in and out of.

fingerwoman · 30/01/2008 21:47

how old is ds?
I absolutely adore my moby, which is a stretchy wrap.
also love my cwtshi mei tai, but he is a bit small to fit in it nicely still

pelafina, your ds is almost exact same age and weight as mine.
the moby is great for everything. I can cook and clean with him in it, I can do the nursery run for ds1, I wear him in it when I go shopping. I can't think of anything bad to say about it tbh

you'd love the moby then.
have a look on sasaslings.co.uk they hire slings out and the lady that runs the site is really lovely. (it isn't me btw lol)
you can put it on in the morning and then just take baby in and out all day. that's what I do anyway

Hi Pelafina
I have 6 now, all different!
The ergo is just utterly wonderful and I think the best so far for me, but my baby is now 6 months and 21 lbs so he is a bit bigger than yours. It is amazing how having him on my back he feels so much lighter - he loves it and so do I as I can get so much done (have 2 hands free and can bend down easily), apart from when he pulls my hair to amuse himself!
Sorry to tempt you into another one!!

I am not a big 'slinger' but I love my mei tai and so does my tiny DS.

nappyaddict · 30/01/2008 23:56

if you want a wrap sling may i suggest a woven wrap - you will get a lot more use out of it. i had a stretchy wrap and once ds got to about 20lb he was just too heavy to carry around comfortably in it.

if you are after a mom tai these are the best i've ever used.

I have several slings and the hotsling is my current favorite. I think some of it is how a particular baby takes to it at that particular stage. I had this German wrap, similar to a Moby I think, and ds2 did wonderfully in it when small but then seemed to feel too constricted so we shifted to the hotsling.
