The doctors basically just told me that my DS has to stay on the Pepti2 milk until he's a year old due to symptoms of CMPA..we done the milk challenge and he was absolutely fine until a day or so before I was due to phone the doctor with an update, his poo was more of an oily consistency, runny etc..that was enough for her to put him back on the Pepti2 but all she's said was I need to just avoid dairy until he's one and phone her back...sorry if I sound dumb here but what does that even mean? Like is there more things to avoid, should we be seeing a dietician, what about things with soya in it as well? Since she's told me this I've gave him carrot, broccoli and parsnips for his lunch because I'm completely lost with porridge, baby rice etc now 😵‍💫

You can use the formula for making anything that requires milk. I used soya products for DS but I know some babies can be allergic to that as well as dairy.

You get very used to reading labels and always checking as ingredients can change.

We were referred to a paediatrician but not a dietician. Given a leaflet of obvious and not so obvious foodstuffs to avoid. DS was 6 months at the time and luckily grew out of it by 2.
