ENT tongue tie assessment - were we rushed?

For background baby is now 8mo but had colic as a newborn and has silent reflux (frequently sick after feeds but usually swallows, unsettled feeds, waking every 1-2 hours at night seemingly in discomfort). Have felt somewhat fobbed off by GP whose answer to everything has been that 'he will grow out of it,' although has prescribed omeprazole for the reflux.

I asked for an ENT referral via HV a few months ago as wanted to get to root cause of reflux, and clicking sound during feeds lead me to believe it might be worth exploring tongue tie.

Since ENT appt was confirmed we also noticed that baby often breathes through mouth, including overnight, which I understand to be a red flag so thought we would also ask about this.

Fast forward to appt this week and on reflection the ENT doctor seemed very dismissive of our concerns. The actual assessment (which included checks for tongue tie, tonsils and nostrils) was over in seconds and concluded no issues, but can't help but feel we were rushed through as we were quickly ushered out of the door with the doctor saying 'your baby just has reflux' and something about how all babies are born with the ability to beathe through their noses.

Can anyone else share their experiences with ENT to understand if this is normal? Not sure if I'm expecting too much, but I was hoping for someone to actually listen to our concerns and help offer solutions.
