12 week jab help!

Hi,
my baby boy is 12 weeks and had his jabs on Tuesday (4 days ago) he screamed for about half an hour on Tuesday evening which he did on his 8 week jabs but seems fine on Wednesday. On Thursday he seemed a lot sleepier than usual but nothing much else different, was still feeding fine pooing and weeing fine. Friday and today he’s still very sleepy and seems in pain a lot. He keeps kicking his legs, arching his back and scrunching up. He does have a bit of diarrhea (last 2 poos today were very runny). He just seems to be either sleeping or struggling with his tummy. He is also sucking his fist a lot which it had worked out how to do before his jabs but now it seems it’s constant. I rang the HV yesterday who said if anything changes over the weekend to ring 111 but nothing has he’s just still in pain and very sleepy and sleeping a lot deeper as well. I thought he might be over his jabs by now, especially as they didn’t seem to bother him much before. Any ideas or do you think I should ring 11? Or wait for docs on Monday and see how he goes? Thanks x

No specific advice, other than that it’s ok to seek medical advice if you think something’s wrong - trust your instincts. It might be unconnected to the jabs, or a delayed reaction as his body responds. Watch out for the usual stuff - that he’s continuing to feed/wee/poo, that his temperature is normal, no rashes, that he’s responsive and can be woken etc. But if you’re worried, call 111. Be prepared for them to want you to wake him, and possibly take him to out of hours GP or A&E. He’s so little; in my experience medical staff are happy to check babies out, even if it turns out they’re fine.

Hope he’s feeling better soon!
