I have a tumtum cup (weighed straw no valve) for my 10mo!

just looking for tips as when I offer him it he tips it - gets angry nothing comes out then chews the straw🤣

currently been giving him water out of a bottle yep a milk MAM bottle we have exclusively for water please don’t judge I just need to change him over asap!

I saw a hack the other day where you dip a straw in yoghurt and they instinctively suck on it to get it all.
Can't attest to how well it works as my DD took to straws really well
Took her 9 months to accept a bottle though Confused

Put yoghurt on the straw. They try and suck it off and then realise when they do this the drink comes out

I just kept giving her it to play with, she would chew the straw and every now and again would accidentally suck some up, you could see the surprise on her face when she got water in her mouth, after a few weeks she was a pro with it. He will figure it out.

Can you just let him drink from an open cup? With you holding it of course.

Alternatively some sippy cups flow quite freely - you tip them up and stuff does come out. Bit more intuitive for him maybe.
