Advice please - can I give calpol and tixylix together

I always have as Tixylix doesn't contain any paracetemol

Oh yes neither do I have any medical qual's. My ds's had a cough that wasn't a chest infection - as that can sometimes be the cause - and he told me that Calpol and a non paracetamol based cough syrup would be fine (although saying that i'm not sure if you can get a paracetmol based syrup )

If you're unsure about this sort of thing, you can always ring a 24 hr pharmacist for clarification. I think I've rung them about 5 times for this very question - I can never remember!

yes you can, is it the normal calpol? not the night time one ? ifso yes

Prop the head of her bed up if you can. Waft some Olbas or eucalyptus oil around the room and if it's practically possible add a bit of steam (boil a kettle in the room). Also, when we all had whooping cough last year, I found that sipping iced water was one of the best things for temporarily relieving the cough.
