Duvet Tog for 3 year old

mumumumumumm · 09/11/2022 22:16

3 year old is moving from a cot bed to a double bed and I'm just wondering what tog duvet to buy for the winter months please? Overnight doesn't drop below 18 and her current cot bed duvet is a 4.5tog.
Am finding mixed advice regarding tog ratings, age and bed size.
Thanks

If its a double bed then I'd say 10.5tog would be the maximum. It's something to do with the size of the child relative to the size of the bed.

Although both my teenagers use a 4.5tog duvet in their beds year round.

Depends if your dd likes extra warmth or is warm enough already. Or go in between and get 7.5 or 9 tog instead

10.5 is the max for that age that’s what my three year old uses on a single x
