2 year old not growing

Since April my little boy has had an upset tummy on and off. Then in May I noticed that my 2 year old wasn’t growing, his trousers began to become lose round the waist. I took him to the doctors. Who referred him to the hospital after he was weighed by the health visitor 1 month later and he had lost more weight. He has seen the dietitian and the doctors at the hospital finally in September who can’t find anything wrong and said they’d seen him in 6 mo!! Their suggestion was maybe toddlers diarrhoea but I don’t understand why he isn’t growing as he should. His weight has now stayed the same for the past 3 months and he isn’t growing. I feel like he eats well. But I’m wondering if I’m wrong. How much should he eat? Can anyone give me advice, I just don’t know what to do!!

This doesn’t sound right - all I can suggest is to go back to the GP and /or ask health visitor to weigh him regularly.

He's being weighed every month by the health visitor, who I have seen today. She is emailing the dietitian. No idea what to do. Just being passed around and he isn't growing

Has he had a blood test to rule out underlying medical conditions? How tall are you, his parents?

He has had 2 lots of blood tests - although I haven't been told what they have actually checked for. Initially his thyroid was slightly out, but they blamed that on him being unwell with diarrhoea. In 2nd test his thyroid level was ok. I've been told they've checked for coeliac disease which was negative also. He has diarrhoea on and off. I myself am of average height , and his dad is on the shorter side. He is currently 12kg which he has been since the beginning on September. In may when I noticed his clothes weren't fitting as well he was 12.4kg. His lowest was 11.7kg, which he managed to gain from when I started milkshakes on advice of dietitian
