my ds is nearly 9 months old he s crawling, pulling himself up on things etc and has a walker. i ve just put him in active fit nappies but my cuz said at 9 months she put her dd in pull ups because she riggled too much wen changing her!!?? i didnt know whether it was ok to do this for my ds or is he fine as he is?. addmitted it wud be easyer in pull ups cos he thinks having his bum done is a game but to do it for convenience i thought wud be wrong!? i was just wondering if any of u have any views or advice please?

I think it's all a bit of a gimmick tbh.

Pull ups are very expensive aren't they? He will get over his wriggly stage - it's a phase they all go through IME. I'm sure the pull ups I used with DD1 were less absorbant than the active fit ones too

Nappies not pull ups IMHO. Agree with Coby that pull ups are a bit of a gimmick but can come in handy before potty training, but cant see why you'd need them now.

I have had to change to disposables - just basic baby dry are fine on DS (23 months) - I agree, you don't need the others.

Flame - I heard that why?

FlameNFurter · 29/01/2008 23:04

He kept reacting to them regardless of what I tried Been in them the last 2 days (payday on Thurs and ran out of disposables) and he is sore again tonight.

DS3 had that not long ago - I went down the metanium route in the end - I figured out is was citrus juice from orange segments that triggered it ((wonders whether meant to give to a 9 month old ))and we haven;t had it back.

I've tried this HUGE list of things, and nothing seemed to fix it completely. I am fairly settled with it all now

i thought that, he s fine in active ones and i couldnt see wat my cuz was on about he s still going to riggle trying to put pull ups on!
