What’s on your toddlers plate tonight?

Just for fun 😊 thought it might give others some inspiration. I often get stuck for meal ideas - for the whole family, not just DS!

DS has just turned 2 and is having:

  • Leftover chicken from last night
  • sweet potato mash
  • baby corn & broccoli

No competitive toddler under/over eating please 😉😂 bonus points for pictures (obviously I forgot mine 🙄)

Pasta with carrots, cauliflower and broccoli, sprinkled with cheese so i know it will be eaten 😂

scramblesontoast · 08/11/2022 17:24

DS is 16 months and had meatballs in a tomato and veg sauce with spaghetti and 1/2 a slice of garlic bread. Ate 3/4 of it and then DH happily scoffed the rest before leaving for his night shift.Grin

DS is 16 months, he had salmon and mash and then some berries and yoghurt

frenchnoodle · 08/11/2022 17:26

Pasta and meatballs.

Mawface · 08/11/2022 17:28

Spaghetti Bolognese for 15 month old. Plus strawberries, couple of puffs and a yogurt.

MonkeyPuddle · 08/11/2022 17:31

Microwave lasagne, cucumber and pepper sticks. Can’t be arsed.

gemloving · 08/11/2022 17:37

Toad in the hole, mash, peas & gravy

BuffaloCauliflower · 08/11/2022 17:39

2 this week, we’re having roast salmon, rice, green beans and broccoli, then maybe some yogurt after. He’ll definitely eat the salmon and ask for more because he loves it, maybe some veg and a bit of rice if I’m lucky.

My little one is tube fed but they have a blended diet rather than prescription milks. Tonight's meal was spaghetti bolognaise (it's been trial and error blending pasta but gluten free seems to work well) followed by prunes and chocolate pudding (we need high calorie foods due to the volume of feed tolerated).

28 month old. broccoli soup (soup is the only way we can get veggies into her!) with slice of toast, yogurt and an apple.

DarlingDarwin · 08/11/2022 17:44

Ooo lots of salmon here!

2.5 year old is having pork tenderloin and pasta with a creamy sauce and baby corn and broccoli. He will it all and have seconds. 5 year old will pick at the pasta saying “ I don’t LIKE IT” and inevitably just have a banana.

GiltEdges · 08/11/2022 17:47

Homemade chicken goujons, potato wedges and garden peas. Followed by strawberries and a yogurt.

Cherrytree77 · 08/11/2022 17:47

Second to notice all the salmon!

I hate salmon but DH loves it - i might suggest they try it next time i am out for dinner

RambamThankyouMam · 08/11/2022 17:50

DD is 2.2 and had:

  • Sticky rice
  • Some bits of our mild veg curry (couple of pieces of broccoli, some squashed chickpeas, and courgette
  • Some leftover sweetcorn from my lunch

She would have had some grapes to finish, but got into a strop as she was so tired, so we came for a bath.

Almondcroissant12 · 08/11/2022 18:03

14 month old DS had

  • grapes, cucumber, and pepper
  • cheese and tomato quesadilla
  • a fish cake

Got lots of jobs to do tonight so needed something quick to prep and low mess. Also going on holiday at end of week so foods that go together are a little thin on the ground here 😬

The packs of steamed salmon you get in the supermarket fish counter are really good for little kids.

Whatshouldbemyusername · 08/11/2022 18:06

14 month old DD just had a veg and tofu stir fry and loved it - it was the first time she had that 😊

For lunch she had jacket potato beans and cheese

ineedastrongercoffee · 08/11/2022 18:08

Maybe not toddler but 3.5 year old twins had homemade lasagne & garlic bread. DT1 ate nothing just screamed, DT2 at a bit of both.

not the usual reaction they normally love it 😫

roarfeckingroarr · 08/11/2022 18:13

He had some veggie soup and bread around 4. Dinner is chicken curry with flat bread and a bit of homemade banana cake. So far only the cake is going in 😂

verabarbleen · 08/11/2022 18:15

Pizza and cucumber sticks 🙈

Nectarpeach · 08/11/2022 18:16

16 month old had chicken stir fry with rice, 4 year old isn't well so he refused dinner and ate a waffle and a yogurt

mernuts · 08/11/2022 18:37

3 year old had hash and Yorkshire puddings at Nanans before coming home this evening. Has just demolished beans and a crumpet. Always a winner in this house, child or adult!

bigshoutingday · 08/11/2022 18:40

18mo - pasta with mushy peas as a sauce and some ham. Licked the plate clean and had a yog after.
3yo - pasta with tuna leftover from my lunch. Ate about half then decided she didn't like tuna despite declaring minute earlier that it was her favourite Hmm

bakehimawaytoys · 08/11/2022 18:54

Bread and butter and a glass of milk. She turned her nose up at tuna sweetcorn pasta bake!
