Just for fun 😊 thought it might give others some inspiration. I often get stuck for meal ideas - for the whole family, not just DS!

DS has just turned 2 and is having:

  • Leftover chicken from last night
  • sweet potato mash
  • baby corn & broccoli

No competitive toddler under/over eating please 😉😂 bonus points for pictures (obviously I forgot mine 🙄)

DCs 4 and 1 had "Halloween Rice and Halloween Chicken" which was basmati/wildreis mixed (I don't know if it's called that in English, but it's basically basmati rice with the odd black/dark brown grain) and chicken cooked in a jar satay sauce, so it was orange.

DS2 (4) was highly suspicious but ate a bit. DS3 (1) ate all of his and then went round finishing off everyone else's.

BTW there was nothing hallowe'en ish about it other than the colour but DS2 likes it if you give food interesting names.

Hallowe'en rice and Hallowe'en orange chicken

DD1 will be 3 in December and she had (requested)
Tomato soup - ate 2/3
Pitta bread - ate 2/5 (cut into fingers)

Then decided she wanted some of dd2 (6.5 months) steamed carrots so ate 3 of them plus about 10 rice cakes and a raspberry yoghurt pouch

She eats everything nursery give her but at home has a rotation of soup (tomato or blended veg), tomato pasta, pesto pasta or picnic lunch (ham & cheese sandwich, cheese, quavers, rice cakes, raisins, pretzels, popcorn, fruit, yoghurt, smoothie - a mixture of that, not all of it at once!)

Veg and tofu stir-fry with noodles (she ignored the veg as she always does 🙄). Mango for pudding.

Shepherds pie, box of raisins, oat bar and yogurt. Then said she was hungry. Sometimes I can't even get her to have a single bite after creche. She's 2. Most days she has a terrible appetite but she is rock solid. Other days she eats all round her. The joys!

A chicken and potato pie. Half a pain au chocolat. Ella's kitchen pudding pot.

Normally has fruit too but we're cutting it back on doctors advice for his tummy. So dinner was quite plain and simple.

My 3 year old made a 'pizza' with me (toppings on a wrap): wrap, tomatoe sauce, cheese, olives, ham. He had 2/3rd, my 25 month old has the rest. They shared a big cookie for pudding.

Roasted gnocchi with tomatoes, mushrooms and cheese. Yogurt and fruit.

I ate most of the gnocchi.

Caspianberg · 10/11/2022 06:13

Roasted aubergine tomato pasta . Blended sauce so he ate the lot

16 month old DD had chicken and ginger stew with rice (ate all of it plus extra) and mango. Pleasantly surprised at how much she ate tbh as she's usually a small eater. But apparently it was "num num"

Sausage, mash and beans tonight with melon for afters. Getting into the real 'wintery' dinners now!

OceanbreezeSun · 10/11/2022 17:07

Dd has recently turned 3 and really likes toasties at the moment.
So tea is a cheese and tomato toastie with some cucumber and grapes on the side. Random but she enjoys it!

Tonight 15mo DD had lentil Dahl and rice followed by a yoghurt. She loves Dahl and always eats it all when I make it
