Tenerife holiday with a 12 week old baby

I was hoping to get some advice/tips about travelling with my lg in December.

She will be 12 weeks old and we’ll be flying to Tenerife to stay with my mum. Don’t know if this helps but she’s formula fed and we will be flying with Ryanair

Any tips about what to take with us and things that are not necessary? My mum is also asking about things she can buy to make our stay easier

What are you allowed in the plane with you and what needs to be checked in?

Can your mum get a next to me crib or a small travel cot ? We used a joie baby kubbie which is great for a small baby and has a raised up newborn setting. You can use it for years as they can go in it til they’re much bigger and

also highly recommend a baby carrier. We use a close caboo with our 5mo old since birth, and love it. You can pop her in it in the airport and I bet she will just sleep the whole time. you can also use it when you’re there.

also I’ve not flown with my little one but I’ve got friends who order their formula to the boots in the terminal and pick it up once through security then you just take it on like a normal purchase you’ve made . Either that or just take enough of the ready made 7oz bottles for the airport and flight and get your mum to get a box of formula if they do the right stuff over there? www.boots.com/shopping/airport-click-and-collect

i think you can parcel up a pram and car seat and check them in, but I’m sure someone who knows more about that will be along shortly !

Sorry should say ‘and they can use it as a play pen type thing when bigger’

We flew with my daughter to the canaries when she was 8 weeks old, we took pre made bottles for the flight with the teats that were disposable.
we took her pre machine in our luggage, we didn’t take a car seat but did take a pram. Car seat we’ve taken before and just goes on as bulk.
she slept in a travel cot at the other end and slept the best she ever has done!!
we took a pop up play pen thing for her to relax in during the day, with my DS when he was little too we took a portable bouncer as well.it might be worth hiring one there?
formula isn’t the same overseas so take enough powder to last you, and nappies are expensive!
