Easiest sling/carrier

What's the easiest/quickest baby carrier to use?

I have a basic sling (freerider) but it takes a bit of time to get it on and baby in - and she's not so sure about it once in anyways. I've also tried the baby bjorn, but it's so bulky and cumbersome I can't manage it.

Is there anything quick and easy to use, that I can throw on to keep baby close while also entertaining a toddler?

Do you have a sling library near you? I went to one when my DD was 3 weeks old as like you, I found the stretchy wrap a pain to get on and off. I tried a few on and ended up renting a Mamaruga zen sling which was super easy to use. When she got a bit bigger I returned that and bought an Ergobaby omni 360 which we used loads.

A sling library would probably be the best bet to find out. I have an Ergobaby which I used for DS1 and DS2 is sleeping in right now. I find it very quick and easy to throw on, DH needs help to do the buckle up at the back if he uses it.
