Tips for stopping swaddling?

We have been using Love to Dream swaddles but DD is now 4 months old and might start rolling soon so I want to transition to normal baby sleep bags. We tried the last few nights and she fell asleep alright but then woke up upset 10 mins later. After several repeats of this we just reverted to the swaddle as we were both tired and desperate for sleep. Any tips? How long it it take your LO to adjust to not being swaddled?

We did one arm out for a week, then both arms out and swaddled round the chest for a week, then switched to a sleeping bag. Honestly we probably could have done it much faster, she didn't seem to care, but we did it a lot younger than you because DD was a freaking terror and started trying to roll at 8weeks.

How did it go @trrk ? We are just at this point...

It worked out OK in the end. We used the Love to Dream transition swaddles with one arm out for a week or two and then she was fine. A bit of disrupted sleep but not too bad. I guess she also lost the startle reflex around that time which helped.
