It's not on. Hate it. Shouldn't be normalised. He's a dodgy character anyway taking his trousers off. I'm prepared for the haters. It's shouldn't be normalised.

Hate that show.
Bing is just a whiny little b*.

PotteringAlonggotkickedoutandhadtoreregister · 01/11/2022 06:31

What shouldn’t be normalised? Sleeping without PJ’s?

lannistunut · 01/11/2022 06:32

Stop watching programmes you don't approve of. No idea wtf Bing is but just remove it from your life.

You know they're supposed to be toddlers?
You might be over thinking this a bit 😆😆

lannistunut · 01/11/2022 06:41

I used to remove a certain channel when my kids were little and then say 'Oh! It isn't on today!'

PerfectPrepPrincess · 01/11/2022 06:42

@Rainbowcat99 I know. I work with safeguarding as a key feature of my role so I'm always 🤔 about stuff ... basically I think at such an early age it shouldn't be normalised.... sad world we live in unfortunately...

My husband can't work out why he takes his trousers off to go on to the park!!

PinkButtercups · 01/11/2022 06:47

He's not naked..
I think you're looking a bit far into it.

Pando always wants to whip his trousers off and some kids always do!

I hate Bing anyway think he is a whiny little bitch.

babysoupdragon2 · 01/11/2022 06:48

But he's a panda?

Sillystripytail · 01/11/2022 06:58

They're toddlers and real life toddlers love to strip off. Why does it worry you?

brainstories568 · 01/11/2022 07:09

I've always assumed that Pando was supposed to be a non neuro typical "child" and that's why he has so many quirks... But yes, I find the scenes where he takes his trousers off etc and the adults don't say anything a bit strange/they don't sit right with me for the reasons you've said. I also work in a safe guarding related field.

PerfectPrepPrincess · 01/11/2022 07:09

And we should be teaching them it's not OK. We keep clothes on. Oh well I've aired my displeasure to the universe, job done.

I can't get worked up about it. Now, the episode where Bing breaks Flops phones and bins it gives me the rage. Flop is all "it's no big thing", it bloody well is Flop.

ememem84 · 01/11/2022 07:12

I fucking hate bing. Whiny little bitch.

SlagathaChristie · 01/11/2022 07:14

I hate Bing too. I hate his whining. Why are "Flop" (grandfather?) and the other adults tiny and made of sackcloth, as though their very existence is an act of repentance before God?

Mrsmch123 · 01/11/2022 07:29

I think your weird tbh...🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

ImustLearn2Cook · 01/11/2022 07:40

I hate Bing too, horrible show. 😒

ShadowPuppets · 01/11/2022 07:50

I was saying to DH literally yesterday, I think people who hate Bing for being a whiny twat (which he is btw) are missing the point, it’s trying to teach toddlers that we all have difficult emotions but we have to learn how to cope with them. If Bing is a pain in the arse it’s only because toddlers are a pain in the arse 😂

Moonshine160 · 01/11/2022 08:14

Bing is a whiny little shit but Pando is even worse.

ImustLearn2Cook · 01/11/2022 11:19

@ShadowPuppets I love toddlers and I don’t think Bing reminds me of the toddlers I’ve ever known. FWIW I worked in childcare or what you call nursery for many years before I became a parent and I loved working in the toddler age group. I still can’t stand Bing though.

ShadowPuppets · 01/11/2022 11:21

@ImustLearn2Cook fair enough, maybe it’s just mine then!! We’ve been watching episodes on sharing and what happens when things break as my 2yo doesn’t deal especially well with either at the moment… I was rather hoping Bing learning to deal with these things would help her, maybe it’s actually the source of her issues! 🙈

livethelifeofyourdreams · 01/11/2022 11:25

Who would normalise this and why?

Anything on TV has a political agenda at some level.

ImustLearn2Cook · 01/11/2022 12:39

@ShadowPuppets Don’t worry learning about sharing comes with age. In childcare we have duplicates of toys because toddlers aren’t developmentally ready to understand the concept of sharing. They have to learn about ownership first and also learn about taking turns.

I love how toddlers will claim something to be ‘mine’ because they played with it first or they see it and like it, or sat there first. I’ve heard that’s my spot or that’s where I sit arguments between toddlers and 3 year old kids many times, just because at some point they have sat there and both feel they own that spot. It’s just where they are at in their brain development.

Pinkywoo · 01/11/2022 12:48

Bing is a whiny, butterfly murdering little shit and Flop is an enabler. Also where are all the real parents? Did the sackcloth things kill them and take over their lives? There must have been parents as the houses are all adult size, Flop pretty much needs a stepladder to wash up!
