Any other disabled parents?

My DD is nearly 1 and has always been high needs (have posted previously about various issues).

I have arthritis and other chronic health conditions and at the moment my mobility isn't great.

She definitely is needing more to stop her becoming bored/frustrated

Any ideas or reassurance really welcome?

We do lots of playing with her dolls and toy food, reading though she's not keen, watching a bit of Ms Rachel and hey bear, playing in the bath and singing songs but i feel very guilty that she's potentially bored out of her mind at home with me.

She also won't let me do much whilst I narrate my day.

I just want to make sure I'm doing my best for her and that she's not at a massive disadvantage because of me.

We go out at weekends when husband is home and we can go in garden some days depending on how my arthritis is.

Are you able to get out and about at all to local baby groups? There's great ones in my area like book bug etc, you could maybe contact h.v for support and signposting?

The problem with groups at this age is that she is darting off everywhere and hates sitting still and I can't keep up all the time. Plus she's never been a big fan of them tbh!
We are going to try a messy play place later this week hopefully.

Sounds like she'd really benefit from a few days a week at a nursery or childminder so that she can get the physical activity she needs - you'll probably find she's happier to chill at home with you if she's being worn out more on other days.
