Baby only falls asleep while feeding

No bouncing, pram, sling, car can help. She literally only will fall asleep while breastfeeding.

In fact, I can't get her in the pram or car seat unless she's already asleep, so I feel trapped in my house.

She's only 5week old, so know she's only dinky still but DD1 wasn't like this at all so I'm feeling completely lost and overwhelmed. And with a 3yr old at home as well, I can't really be stuck inside 24/7.

Any words of wisdom? Or just encouragement that I'm not alone?

Oh she also won't take a dummy.

Get a sling so you can get her out of the pram/carseat at your destination.
Feed her to sleep as required.
Take your oldest out and about.

Unless she's in that perfect level of deep sleep, she won't go in her car seat or pram or sling without screaming. Just makes everything feel 100x more difficult

Getting a baby to sleep in a pram or pushchair can take a bit of persuasion at first, it did with both of mine.

My 11 month old is the the same
Hated sling
Hated and hates pram and car seat
Still feeds to sleep
If you find the answer, let me know! 💐

I had/have one of these!

if I were you I'd preservere with the sling- you can breast feed while they're in the sling.

I know that does always help with that trapped feeling but it will pass eventually!

Feed in the sling?

I remember 5 and 6 weeks being the absolute worst for crying with mine. NCT friends were meeting up and I kept having to say no as I couldn't face going out and about with him.
It got gradually better since then. By about 13 weeks we were out for hours and hours and he loved it. Started being able to fall asleep in the pram.
It sucks but it'll get better
