Hi mums I am new to being a parent Chloe is only just over 2 weeks old. I know u can set a feeding schedule with a baby this small just worried that little one isn’t getting enough milk. One day she has cluster feed like crazy and the last few days all little one wants to do is sleep finding it impossible to keep a count of her feeding times through out the day is this normal.

I used the huckleberry app when both mine were small to keep track of how long they fed and which side so I wasn’t accidentally feeding from the same side all the time.

Generally as long as there are plenty of wet and some dirty nappies, baby is alert when awake and a good colour that is what the midwives ask. If you have any concerns then you can still contact your midwife/GP.

Welcome to the world, Chloe :)

Go by nappies and weight gain. I don't think you need to keep a record of feeding unless you've been advised to. Your midwife or hv will be able to tell you the longest she should go without feeding. Sometimes you can get a baby to feed without really waking, like a dream feed.

I wouldn't worry about not making enough milk, cluster feeding happens to increase your supply.

Good luck!

You don’t! Advice is to feed in demand. Cluster feeding is to tell your body to make enough milk for the amount she will need tomorrow.
