Please help - toddler has tonsillitis and her cough at night is stopping her sleeping

My two year old was diagnosed with tonsillitis on Monday afternoon. She has been on antibiotics since then. She doesn't have a temp and is ok during the day (not her crazy self but is happy and engaged) at night it's a different story. She gets this hacking cough, which stops her sleeping and sounds so painful she will only sleep on me! Which is fine, but I need to put her down to remake my bed that she was sick on last night because her cough was so bad (bed sheets washed just need to put new ones on as been at work all day)!

I've tried Vicks but that isn't helping the cough! What else can I do? Has anyone else experienced this?

And how long will antibiotics take to kick in?

Xxxx

Try Broncho Stop Jnr. It works for about 4 hours.

Poor little thing

Have you tried rubbing the Vicks on her feet? (Sounds crazy but google it)
