So is smiling with wind a myth ?

I always thought it was strange, like why would wind make a baby smile ? Surely it's more painful than anything ?

My baby girl is 4 weeks today and I've noticed the odd smile, in her sleep usually, but the other day was a full on cheeky grin ! Is it just wind ??

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

It's probably wind yes although my DS started smiling properly at 6wo!

I'm not sure about the wind thing. I think the smile in their sleep is just them pulling faces, however at 4 weeks I think it's certainly possible for them to smile.
My DD2 was very forward and she definitely did a social smile at about 3 weeks old. She would make eye contact and return your smile, definitely not wind!

Even if it is wind then, it's so cute !! Sometimes I think she tries to smile, you know when you're talking to them and the corner of their mouth pulls up?

My DD always gave a huge grin when she farted, and sometimes giggled when she pooed.

Turns out she has IBS 👀
