What are you currently giving your 6m old? I had no problem weaning my DD as she absolutely loved food but DS seems less interested. Can people give me ideas on what they started with? Thank you

Best advice I can give you (from a pediatrician) is to start with broccoli!!

And just give little soft sticks of broccoli until they grab them and start chewing on them. You try today, in 2 days time, in another day...... until they eat it. Afterwards you can try something like carrot or courgette. And afterwards you can branch out.

Broccoli is a great choice because other they might get just used to sweet things.

I did it with 1 and 2. And they are fantastic eaters!!!!! Amazing!!!!

No3..... oh well.... things have been difficult.... 😞 and I didn't do my usual. And she's a terrible eater!!!! Horrid!!!! 😱

Ohhh!! And some kids just don't start eating at 6months 🤷🏻‍♀️ it's perfectly ok. Just go at their pace, not yours.

DD2 started eating at 8months.

On another note, DD1 refused water until 1yo 😵‍💫 again, it's normal.... stressful but normal

Broccoli, that sounds like a great choice! I started off with porridge for my DD and it went well but DS isn’t a fan. I’ll definitely give that a go, thank you

With my son I did BLW, with mr daughter I did a mixture of BLW & purée. Daughter ears more than my son.

DD’s first finger foods were:
Well-cooked pasta (she could hold penne and bows easily)
Avocado
Scrambled egg
Buttered toast (without the crust) cut into strips
Chunks of potato
Well-cooked carrot batons
Flaked salmon
Grated cheese
Cucumber
Baby sweetcorn

This is exactly the sort of thing I’m looking for, thank you! I’ll definitely be giving these a go
