My 5 month old daughter has had a fever/sore throat/been irritable for a few days and the dr said it was a cold virus. Now i’ve noticed these blisters on her hands and toes. GP confirmed HFM today!
looking for reassurance as i’m a FTM and this is the first time she’s been unwell! I haven’t noticed any sores inside her mouth, is it possible that she won’t get them there?

My little girl has this last winter and I don’t think had any in her mouth. She got them on her bottom first and I though she had nappy rash- then hands and feet. Made her toe nails go all weird and peeling. Was fine in a few days after the blisters started. Is generally not too bad I think! She was a bit grumpy and sleepy but soon better!

Hi OP, don't panic as it's such a common condition and very unlikely to cause serious harm.

My oldest had it around 14 months. She had spots on her bottom/groin, her arms and legs and some on her cheeks but none in her mouth, and it was all over in a couple of days. Bit of a non-event really!
