Good morning mums,
I am hoping someone will be able to help or advise me on something. My sweet 1 year old who goes to nursery 4 days a week and has done since 4 months old as I have a business has recently started having tantrums. The tantrums can range from throwing herself on the floor to smacking to hitting her head on the floor. This has only been something which has started around a month a go, now i did see one of the other toddlers hit her in the face a few months ago when i went to pick her up and addressed it there and then with the nursery and was told "children express with their hands, they feel things, they touch" but now my child is doing it i get told they don't tolerate that kind of behaviour.
I feel horrible, guilty and also like i have let her down but this is not anything she see's at home and certainly not anything we would accept as behaviour at home either but there must be a reason - could it be because:
- She is teething?
- She isn't quite talking yet so can't tell me what she wants?
- Something she is seeing at nursery?
I don't want to blame the nursery because it could be anything but it is really getting me down. She is usually such a happy little girl, full of life and really fun but when she has a tantrum all hell breaks loose and the nursery have tipped me over this morning saying they don't tolerate this kind of behaviour.
Any advice would be great ladies. TIA xx
