Tips for getting things out of swivel car seat bases!

As the title says really. All tips and help appreciated- we have several pegs(!), a missing puzzle piece, keys and magnets in there. We've got a cyber one and so far our best success has been with a skewer and shaking it/ swearing. Are there any hacks?

I think your approach is the only one. Cybex are a bugger for this though, our Joie one seems to be totally sealed and nothing gets in? But when I worked in a car seat shop the Cybex seats were forever being brought back as faulty because the recline and/or rotate was jammed and it was always because of debris that had fallen into the rotate mechanism. The shape of the rebound bar doesn't help because it's basically a giant slide.
