Room temperature at night for baby

My DD is almost 7mo and seems to be going through a bit of a sleep regression at the minute where we have horrendous split nights. I’ve ruled out hunger, she isn’t napping too much or too little during the day, and she goes to bed easily so her wake windows are fine. What I am wondering is whether she’s cold? She’s still in our room which is typically about 19° at night according to both our room thermometer and the display on her baby monitor, so it’s on the warm end of what’s recommended. She wears a short sleeve vest, a babygrow and a 2.5tog sleeping bag, and if you read the guidance that’s still even a bit overdressed for the temperature. But I find the room cold, there are nights I get up and put on a dressing gown in bed because I’m cold, which makes me think if I’m cold she could be too, especially since her cot looks so bare and open. She wakes during the night and seems to want to be snuggled cosy under a blanket until she falls asleep again, when I put my hand down against her chest she does feel on the cool side. I’m scared of SIDS risk of overheating etc but what could I safely try? A thicker sleeping bag? A long sleeve vest under her babygrow? Tips welcome.

I was wondering the same! I think SIDS is more likely with overheating not being too cool. Tonight the room temp dropped to 15C so I was really worried. I’ve put on the heating but to be honest she’s slept better than previous nights and is now up enjoying a feed. Now I’m wondering if she prefers a cooler room. I used to keep the room 20C and also have her in a long sleeve vest, a sleepsuit and 2.5 tog.

Just try a long sleeved vest instead of short sleeved. 19 degrees should be fine with that combination. Fold over the cuff bits on the end of the sleeves if her hands are getting cold.
