8 month old startles easily.

8 mo DS is so jumpy. Noticed it especially if he falls asleep for a nap in his bouncer (usually this is if he has an extra power nap, his main naps are in his cot)

His arms/often legs too jerk at the slightest sound. I thought the startle reflex usually went by now?

Take a video
Show gp

@cestlavielife wondered if this was normal or not, I'm assuming not if you're suggesting a GP visit.

Anyone else?

It's not uncommon for DC to have retained reflexes. Mine had treatment for it.

He is a baby
If you notice anything odd you speak to gp
Let a medical professional reassure you or refer you

Could be something

Speak to the health visitor before GP. My experience is they really don't know about that and the health visitor can either see you in person, over bideo or a phone call and advise next steps

I know a little one who's nearly 7 months who's still doing this. I was surprised to hear it too!

Try to catch it on your phone and show the gp.
