Stop!! Don’t iron toddler’s clothes.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 19/10/2022 17:08

Stop ironing.

and wait until you have 2 adult sized sporty teenagers!!

Lavendersummer · 19/10/2022 17:14

Don’t iron. It’s not worth it for toddlers . Really don’t.

Oh yes I hear you. I’m expecting my 4th child tomorrow. It’s already Mount Washmore around here! The only thing that has helped me over the years is minimising their clothes quite a lot but that is easier when they are past the toddler stage!

Ohwellwhateverthen · 19/10/2022 17:16

Fuck ironing!

MissBattleaxe · 19/10/2022 17:16

Don't iron until they're in comp!

NoParticularPattern · 19/10/2022 17:19

Ironing?! Don’t do ironing. Hang things up and fold them well and you’ll never need to. Well maybe for weddings and funerals but that’s about it.

gogohmm · 19/10/2022 17:20

Ironing. Mine managed to get to adults without me ironing their clothes (than goodness for no iron school shirts

Caspianberg · 19/10/2022 17:23

Only one toddler, but honestly not that much. No washable nappies now, odd extra pair of leggings if he pees himself. Wears long bib at mealtimes. Toddler Bedding or towel fits in with our own load

DreamingofItaly2023 · 19/10/2022 17:26

I only iron for christenings, weddings and funerals. We are not social pariahs so I assume no one cares that the rest of the time our clothes aren’t ironed.

PeekAtYou · 19/10/2022 17:26

Why are you ironing ? that's why it's so time consuming

Rutland2022 · 19/10/2022 17:29

I have never ironed anything my DD owns. You are mad.

SpikeGilesSandwich · 19/10/2022 17:51

Unless they need dress shirts for a occasion, why on Earth are you ironing toddler clothes? That's just making work for yourself.

houseargh · 19/10/2022 17:55

Ironing!?

SpinningFloppa · 19/10/2022 17:58

I have 4 kids.
I don’t even own an iron

Topseyt123 · 19/10/2022 18:01

There will be lots of laundry, but why oh why are you ironing any of it? Just stop. No need at all.

imnotthatkindofmum · 19/10/2022 18:28

Agree with everyone....stop ironing!

Passthebrownsauce · 20/10/2022 11:07

But I love ironing!!!!! Although yes it is very time consuming, so I agree I must cut back on it!!! But my rant was about the amount of washing two little people make 😫 One is potty training and both refuse to wear bids, so things get rather messy!!!

Ahhh the laundry is endless 😭😭😭

arethereanyleftatall · 20/10/2022 11:48

I thought my dc made loads of washing (went from once a week for myself to every day when I have 2 dc).
Then I got rid of my exhusband.
Turns out it was him.
7 weekly loads now down to 2.

johnd2 · 20/10/2022 12:01

Specifically on the bibs thing you need to take care of your own feelings first - Make bibs a condition of getting their food. It's a reasonable boundary in my opinion and if you explain why, then your tone and manner will come across, even if their tone and manner will also come across!
