Morning sickness and toddler parenting

Any suggestions on how to cope in early pregnancy whilst looking after a toddler? Really struggling with severe nausea, on medication but I don’t think it’s improved. I’m still working 3 days a week, at home with toddler 2 days a week. Exhausted, sick, miserable. Feel guilty for using tv with toddler, she is watching so much as I just want to lie down quietly 😫
Anyone survived this and got tips on how to make it easier? Wondering if I should try and have some time off work to rest on those days

We put ours in nursery full time for a few months til I was over the worst of it, and DH massively picked up the slack outside of those hours.

@Shleepymummy Aw you poor thing, that sounds exhausting. I had some sickness during the beginning of my pregnancy but my main issue was exhaustion due to low iron, so I can kind of relate. I used to find mixing it up everyday helped. I put two tuff trays out with different activities in each day, for example, painting in one and construction in the other. She'd also have access to colouring, Playmobil etc. I found she'd be so engrossed with the 'new' activities in the tuff tray that she'd rely less on me playing with her. If you're struggling for ideas for activities then I suggest following some EYFS teachers on Instagram as they have some fab ideas. If my toddler got bored it was a nightmare as I didn't have the energy to keep up with her! I repeated this during the second half of my last trimester as my iron dipped again alongside being heavily pregnant. My ds is 3 weeks now and it's lovely being able to get our and about again! It will get better. Do you have support to take your little one out so you can rest? You have my sympathies, it's really hard. I hope this is useful! Xx
