Ds will be moving into his new room soon and i'm really struggling to find anything that really appeals. Everything seems so blue or it's character bedding, Dh & i really don't fancy looking at an enlarged bob the builder every time we go in ds's room

Can anyone suggest anything preferably with border paper.

The White company do nice things as do Debenhams.

I am keeping the boys' room plain so that I can just change the bedding and it all fits together IYSWIM.

A friend spent a fortune on a Buzz Lightyear room, carpet(!) curtains, bedding and a mural on the wall.

Her son walked in and declared that he didnt like Buzz anymore!!!

I have learned from this.

DS room is bright yellow with cream carpetl it used to be a Winnie The Pooh theme (bedding/lamp/curtains) but he has a space-themed room now.

His bedding/bin/lampshade and curtains (when I change them!) are all in the theme. I have made a couple of canvas pictures for him (material wrapped round a canvas - cost £3 each to make) and they are going on the wall soon, when his new bed is in.

When and if he wants a change, it is minimal; only bedding, lampshade and bin because the curtains are plain royal blue - tones with the yellow but not stuck on a theme.

Oh, I got it all from Dunelm Mill (bedding and curtains - not a matching set) and Wilkinsons (bin and lampshade)

How about next. You could get the uilt cover and leave the room plain to tone it down a bit. Plus next is a bit cheaper

fishie · 28/01/2008 21:54

here fish not there, shame they're a lovely magenta. red animals nice too but not very restful.
