8 month old poorly constantly

Hi all
Hoping someone can talk me down as i’m so worried atm. My 8.5 month old has been poorly for 5 weeks now. It started with a viral infection which the Dr said would clear on its own. It didn’t, and she then ended up with antibiotics as she then had conjunctivitis, an ear infection and they said her chest was rattly. Her ear infection hasn’t really cleared up and she’s had another 2 lots of antibiotics until finally last week the Dr took a swab from her ear and realised there was a second bug for which she needed different antibiotics for. We’ve been on them since friday and she’s been back at the docs this morning to be told she has a mix of impetigo and hand foot and mouth. They’ve changed her antibiotics again to one that will hopefully clear the ear infection and the impetigo.

i just feel so helpless. Its been one thing after another and I can’t get her better. I’m back at work in 2 weeks and iv got a new job so i’m worried about having to take time off
and making a bad impression. She’s also missing nursery because she is poorly so isn’t settling in as well as i’d hoped.

just looking for a hand hold really. Sleep is non existent which probably isn’t helpful to my worrying. I keep telling myself its a bump in the road but i just pray she gets better in the next 2 weeks so i can go back to work and she’s ok at nursery 🤞🤞

Oh solidarity OP. I’ve just spent a weekend nursing my poor baby with an ear infection and hand foot and mouth, he had the ulcers in his throat and was just in so much discomfort. That’s on top of an endless cold, after a load of stomach bugs… it has been rough. It’s so awful when they’re so poorly.

can I recommend you give your baby a pro biotic if you haven’t already? I use Optibac baby drops. The antibiotics kick out a lot of good bacteria along with the bad- leaving them vulnerable to the next thing to come along. This rights the balance a bit.
