Cms and attachment of earnings order

I have tried unsuccessfully to get my ex to pay his maintenance and since January this year he's either paid late or not at all. We were on the old direct and pay where he paid me by standing order, come October and after me sending all of my bank statements to cms they come back to me and agreed it should be on the collect and pay service, set it all up and they still can't get money from him so now they've said they are going to try an attachment of earnings order and this can take 3 months and they hope to give me my first payment in December. Has this worked for anyone?

Yes me - I had my first time is payment this month! It was £100 short but apparently that was an admin error on the part of the employer. Hope you get a payment in December!

Yes I've had this for a few years and mostly it turns up. Sometimes glitches with the employer or if he changes jobs it needs to start up again, but at least I don't need to chase up.

Not attachment to earnings as his employer complied with collect and pay but CMS were willing to do that if they dicked about (some employers do). I wouldn't hesitate to go down that road again if I needed to. Glad the CMS are progressing it for you

I ended up not on attachment of earnings because he started paying again when he found out what it would cost. The threat was enough
