Breastfeeding and weaning onto solids questions

DS has just turned 9 months. Do I now offer solids first? So even on a morning go straight to breakfast and then breastfeed? And how many breastfeeds roughly a day? Thanks! For some reason (probably tiredness...) I find this all so hard to get my head round. I'd like to continue to breastfeed until around 12-15 months if that makes any difference.

Honestly don't overthink it. Give him milk when he asks for it (at 9m both of my EBF babies were still rooting when hungry) and feed him solids when you're eating. So if he wakes hungry and wants the breast, give it to him, and then have breakfast together when you're ready. Same with all other meals.

I feed before we get up then offer breakfast, snack lunch snack dinner snack bf at bedtime as I am attempting to day wean totally. But before we got to this point she would have all the meals above then bf on demand. Some days she wouldn’t feed much, others it was like she was always attached. Dd is just over 2. I fed ds until he was 2.9 but he was day weaned by 14 months.

I always fed on demand
But around 9months our typical routine would be -
Wake up BF
Breakfast
Snack
Mid morning BF (often to sleep)
Lunch
PM BF (often for nap again)
Snack
Dinner
BF to sleep and feeds overnight too

I'm still BF my DD and she is 18mo. Obviously she's been on 3 meals & snacks for a while. She still feeds first thing, at lunch and before bed. Sometimes she wants it during the day too. I just go with the flow and follow her lead.

Breastfed on demand, I just switched to not offering about 1, she would ask when she wanted it instead.
food I would offer the same food we/I were eating at the same times.

To echo PP I breastfed on demand (which always means first thing in the morning, even now at 15months)

As we introduced 3 meals and day, and then snacks, DD sort of naturally fell into a routine of just morning and before bed BF.

The best thing you can do is bring your baby to the table when you eat, eat as a family and don't fuss over how much or little they eat. Solid Starts (website, app, and Instagram) is an absolutely fantastic resource. They also have more detailed info on milk :)
