8 month old can hardly breathe through nose for snot...

I've propped her up slightly by putting her head on my pillow.

We're co sleeping.

Is this ok?

I have two vapour things on and olbas oil and window open... Not sure what else to do but am really feeling for her.

She is getting really dry mouth from breathing through it then feeding is hard as she can hardly breathe through her nose!

I've done that and my little one is only nearly 5 months.

Not ideal, but sometimes needs must. He had a cold about a month ago and it was the only way he was comfortable.

I just made sure the blanket wasn't near his face and I actually put a pillow behind him by his back.

As I say, not ideal, and I'm sure someone will come and shout about how unsafe it was for me to do that, but it was the only way he could sleep that night

Also, I put a bowl of boiling water in the room along with the plug ins. That also eemed to help him, the vapour kept the air moist.

@Cluelessfirstimer I know what you mean, I'm sure someone will be along soon to shout!

Reading through the lullaby trust website (for the umpteenth time) and I know it says 'flat' but she's really struggling!

Rationally, it's one thin pillow and nothing is going to obstruct her mouth, nose or cover her head.

It's good to hear about the experience from others in this situation I think.

Good idea about the bowl... One vapour thing is a plug in, the other works with steam.
