6 months with DS1, might keep DS2 in our room longer as he’ll be 6 months in December and it will be cold.

40andfit · 14/10/2022 20:19

Around 20/22 months for both my children.

ofwarren · 14/10/2022 20:19

My eldest age 7
My other two still haven't. They are 8 and 6. Years not months.

Once they’d grown out of the crib in our room. Which was between 6 - 8 months.

T0rt0ise · 14/10/2022 20:21

7 months with first because we were waiting on a house move and 6 months with the second.

twoandone · 14/10/2022 20:22

6-7 months with both of mine.

linziere · 14/10/2022 20:25

13 months tomorrow and we're planning on it this weekend.

ChillysWaterBottle · 14/10/2022 20:26

7 months!

Rutland2022 · 14/10/2022 20:26

15 months. I was in no rush.

shivawn · 14/10/2022 20:26

6 months, he instantly started sleeping so much better, as did we.

OrangePomander · 14/10/2022 20:29

All somewhere between four and five years, but the youngest still comes in occasionally.

SatinHeart · 14/10/2022 20:33

Both of mine around the 6 months mark (although with DC2 we still end up with one of us in with him a fair both age 2.5!)

LaMadrilena · 14/10/2022 20:38

15 months. She's adapted surprisingly well, but still up a couple of times a night...

AlwaysLatte · 14/10/2022 20:47

Their rooms were ready for them from day 1 but we put them in at around 6 months (very close to our room and with baby monitor)

AlwaysLatte · 14/10/2022 20:49

Nb as soon as they were awake, we brought them into our room so were never awake alone in their rooms.

MarieCondom · 14/10/2022 20:55

When they grew out of the Moses basket, so around 6 months. Though my youngest DC slept in the bathroom right from the start as they were such a loud snorer, and the bathroom was the nearest room to our bedroom.

bluechameleon · 14/10/2022 20:59

8 months for DS1, 15 months for DS2

Ima90sbaby · 14/10/2022 21:07

My DS was bang on 6 months when he went into his own room. Even though he was still waking a few times in the night till he was 1 year old, I felt I could relax more on a night time while laying in bed and I slept alot deeper while he wasn't in our room. Our rooms are so close together and we also still use the video monitor.

BuffaloCauliflower · 14/10/2022 21:07

He started doing the first bit of the night in his room at 15 months, then come in with us on first wake, started doing the whole night in his room at 18 months

BuffaloCauliflower · 14/10/2022 21:08

I couldn’t be arsed with getting up and going to a different room multiple times a night, he slept in my bed and I was rarely tired despite several wake until 18-19 months

Also I forgot to add... we have had him in our room in a travel cot several nights but that's only been when he's been poorly and wanted to keep a closer eye on him.

My eldest child - 3 months
Middle child - 6 weeks
Youngest child - 1 week

Obviously I had a baby monitor and went to them when they needed a feed, sometimes fed in chair in their own room, sometimes brought them back to my room. I kept inter action to a minimum, no talking or playing, just a quick feed and back in cot, only changing nappies if soiled. Rightly or wrongly, that’s how we did things thirty odd years ago!

converseandjeans · 14/10/2022 21:17

Two weeks which is frowned upon nowadays. Baby monitor & checked on them regularly. They slept really well in their own room - it was much cosier than our bedroom.

dementedpixie · 14/10/2022 21:22

Not advised before 6 months
Dd - 6 months
Ds - 8 months

sageandbasil · 14/10/2022 21:39

6 months
