5 year old sleep and behaviour

Has anyone been through this phase and have any advice at 5 years?

After being a sleepless baby and toddler, my son has slept well for the past couple of years. We've found ourselves on a word phase Amy though. He's waking up during the night 2/3 times screaming because he's scared on his own and putting him to bed is difficult because he doesn't want to be left. Hes such a. Wonderful little boy but his behaviour has been abit rebellious recently and he's really been pushing boundaries and having an attitude. Hes not missing out on much sleep so I don't think he's overtired but there is a theme of unsettledness.

For what it's worth his dad and I aren't together. He normally sees his dad but he has been inconsistent recently. Ds hasn't been upset about this, he doesn't ask for him so I don't think he's bothered. Dad is overcompensating though when he's with him and taking him to big activities and promising toys.... not sure if this could be a factor 🤷🏼‍♀️

Just don't know whether this phase will pass or if I can do soemthing to help him?
