? The problem and it?s nature are described (7)
? It?s scope and impact are described (7)
? Discretionary mark (1)

So what do I need to put - I am guessing how I am going to try & solve the problem is not needed

Is it - why it is a problem & what will happen if I don't sort it?

sounds like it

the problem scenario, why it is a problem, to whom. Also sure you can find some academic differences between diff sorts of problems.(Textbook names)

impact of the problem - who does it affect, would go wrong etc. Scope means width of problem - what could happen if it went wrong, worst case scenario.

So does this do that?

I think it's the problem, it might be the nature (I'm not sure)

I don't think I know what scope is

But I think I've got the impact (maybe?)

Because I am leaving to develop the nursery, so I will have a reduced role in childminding requires that its day-to-day management needs to be delegated safely to a suitably qualified person or persons. Currently, in addition to my roles in strategy, policy, finance and procedures, and other non-contact tasks, I input approximately 30 hours a week directly in childminding roles including cooking, cleaning and staff supervision. This time will no longer be available so I need both to strengthen the management and supervision role and also to obtain additional resources to cover my reduced input.

The objectives of the changes are to provide the continuance of stable and expert management of the childminding operation. Specifically a key task is to establish a day-to-day manager for the childminding to release time to me to develop and manage the nursery and its construction. Also I need to obtain additional resources for the direct childminding tasks either by recruitment or by increasing the hours of existing childminders and assistants.

If these objectives are not met there is a real possibility that the business will fail, either by becoming uneconomically viable or by high staff turnover leading to a poop reputation and losing business.

I always check this

it helps to define it, think you have got the idea

KatyMac · 26/01/2008 19:12

Actually I'm not too sure about the poop reputation

And a final sentence

Either way the children and their parents will not be receiving the high quality they expect and pay for.

So does what I have written answer the question?

Apparently I keep missing the point (so I was told at the tutorial)

Oh well I'll send it off anyway - if it's wrong, it's wrong
