6 (nearly 7 yr old) holding her wee

So at nearly 7 DD has been potty trained for a while.
But she will point blank refuse to go to the toilet until she is practically wetting herself.

She will be squirming, holding herself and I will ask "do you need the loo?" And it's always no.

Friday at swimming lessons I could tell from the side she needed to go, kept asking and she kept saying no. She even refused to go when getting changed.

Today she's squirming on the sofa, and same thing. She eventually went while eating her dinner and she wet herself.

I volunteered to help on a recent school trip and she didn't go to the loo the entire time we were there, we left the school at 9am and got back around 3!

If we are going on a long journey we ask her to go to the loo before we leave and she point black refuses. Once, she just sat on the lid and made weeing noises so we'd think she'd been!!

How do we get her to blimming go to the toilet when she needs it!?

Have you checked no UTI?

I don't think it's that. It doesn't hurt, she's not going frequently at all... quite the opposite. And it's been going on for a while... like forever really. When she started reception she used to frequently wet herself on the way home cos she's been holding it all day!
Some of it is to do with her not wanting to stop what she's doing... but she has to stop eventually to rush to the loo rather then just go normally.
