advice needed, evening poo

Hi there, Just wanted some advice,
Basically ds, aged 3 last week is dry most of the day and asks to go to the toilet for a wee most of the time, with only the occasional accident now and again. At night time, he is still in nappies as he is not yet dry, and is in no rush to remove his wet nappy in the morning.
However, within half an hour after his bath and having his nappy on, he has his daily poo. This has gone on as a habit for some time now, and he seems quite proud of it (wouldn't you at 3 yr old though). He is not interested in using the toilet or potty for a poo, and we are concerned he is waiting for the evening nappy so he can do his business. Is there some way of encouragement, or is this something that will happen naturally in time,
Many thanks.

Added to this, sometimes, if he goes to bed absolutely tired out because he hasn't had a daytime nap,(as happens from time to time), he will fall asleep completely oblivious to his bowel movements. We then change his nappy, and can do this without disturbing him too much as he is so tired.

Hi dd1 did this for months after she was wee trained. She finally just decided that she was going to poo on the toilet. The up side of it is she has yet to have a poo accident as she is so good at bowel control from waiting for her night nappy!
