75th centile baby now at 9th from 9-11 months

Hello! Hoping anyone else may have a similar experience and what the outcome was.
My second son was born on the 75th centile but by 3 months was settled just below 50th centile. (All ok as something similar happened with my first prior to weaning at 6 months . Both breastfed)
Then at 9 month check baby was 9th centile! Cue anxious Googling! I then began to lace his food with double cream and increasing smooth but butters etc. He honestly eats more than my 3 yr old at times! then at next weigh in as directed by HV at 10 months he was a bit above 9th so she was satisfied but suggested another weigh at 1yr.
i continued to lace food with double cream etc but he didn’t seem to be bulking up really. So I got him weighed again today at 11 months and he’s back to 9th. I’m a bit anxious about this considering how much he eats really. He’s not big on milk though and has cut down his BF significantly. I suspect he’s not taking much in. So have been trying formula in a sippy cup with meals which he drinks a little (maybe 1-2oz).

I am at a loss as his older bro is very tall and 75th centile. Also has 2 half siblings who are 75th to 91st centile in height.
HV not that concerned as tracking centile but it doesn’t feel right for him and I’m worried about malabsorption or something. I’ve asked for a referral and they will send me to the GP… to what avail I wait to see.
Anyone have anything like this before and what was the eventual outcome?
many thanks all :)

Is he happy and meeting milestones? Would you be worried if it wasn't for scales.

What’s his height centile? Just because other family members are tall doesn’t guarantee he will be

The length is very hit and Miss before they’re two as you have to get them lying straight. He looks skinny tbh compared to his peers. His length was 25th centile but again I’m not reassured as if there was a malabsorption issue this would delay length too.

But yes he is hitting milestones otherwise

@Supposedly How’s your DS doing now? My little one has just started eating more but his weight has taken a dip so I’m concerned it’s an absorption issue. Did your GP refer for any other tests or is your little one gaining ok now? X
