Hi 😊 I have a baby that’s one this month and since he was about 3 months old, we’ve noticed his left ear sticks out a bit more than his other one. It’s definitely not too bad but the last thing I want is him growing up being bullied! He has had a flat head on that side which we are trying to help by always laying him on the other side but it’s not made any change yet, and I’m not 100% sure if it’s related to his ear

Just wondering if anyone else’s baby had/has the same and whether it went back to ‘normal’
and whether it was caused by a flat head?

thanks :)

His right ear looks flatter than the left, and a tiny bit lower, but that is normal for him. We all have slight differences on the left and right sides of our body as we are not symmetrical. Eyes, ears, fingers, toes, teeth... there will always be a slight difference visually, but it is normal so don't worry.

To me he looks like a perfectly normal beautiful little baby and I'd never notice a difference in real life. (And can I just add - even photographed from behind, it's given me a real pang for those proper little baby days!)

Thanks for your reply :) it probably is just me noticing to be honest! But was just wondering if his flat head is causing it!
