Hi all

I'm planning on a bday party for my DT's 3rd birthday at a soft play, never been to/ arranged one before. Just wondering what a good time will be to book from, currently 2.5 and still napping, will they stop by then? Maybe early morning as I'm inviting their friends from nursery who may still nap?

Book it for when it suits you. If right now they nap book it for before or after. I'd be tempted for before their nap time as sometimes naps don't go to plan and they might be cranky at their party.

I wouldn't plan by other peoples naps. Most toddlers can work a nap around a two ish hour party.

I always prefer a party in the morning so 10-12 so there's time for a nap and then you've still got the afternoon to do your own thing.

Book it to suit you.

Plenty of 2+ year olds don't nap, there as others do.

You need to decide if you are giving the children lunch or just drinks/snacks.

Most people do parties in the afternoon as it is easily logistics wise if there are other siblings who need care.

Oh definitely make clear that the invite is only for named children.

10-12 are my favourite party times.

My child dropped the nap by 3 but he's so much better on a morning.
