When should I change my pram round?

I have a pram that lies flat to start with then you switch it to pushchair mode. When should I do that? I know babies have to lie flat at the start but when does that end? My DS is nearly 14 weeks.

I kept my DS facing me for as long as I could - I loved being able to look at him

only urned him around when he was old enough to get bored adn wanted to be nosy!

I would keep him flat until he begins to try to wriggle loads (I did this with DS) and then raised the back just one notch.

I don't think he went proper sitting-position until about 6 months old.

I would turn it round - into a forward facing pushchair - when they start to get bored of chatting to you

DS's chair was a either-way-round one and I used to have it outwards somedays and somedays facing me just for a change. He went mostly forward facing at around 6/7 months I think

actually, I lied - he was in a proper sitting position and lay down to sleep from about 4/5 months old...

If we are talking rear-facing to forward facing - I never went forward facing with ds1, and don't intend to with ds2 (nearly 2).
If you just mean sitting up then flat as long as possible - ie until they object or are too big really, probably around the 4/5/6mo mark.

I moved dd to sitting up when she grew too big for her pram bit and was straining to see what was going on around her.

I moved her from rearward facing to forward facing when she started craning her neck around the side of the buggy to see where we were going!

I think I changed to the pushchair at about 4 or 4.5 months, but it was still almost lie-flat.

In fact she's only gone up one notch or so since then and she's 10 months now (perfectly able to sit up by herself, but when she's reclining in the pushchair it means she can snuggle into her footmuff more and still see out).
