Bath Time

I just need some advice on getting a one year old to sit down during bath time.
she absolutely loves the bath and she goes swimming lessons which she loves, so it’s not the water she doesn’t like. She just refuses to sit down which makes it difficult for us to bath her. We used to use a bath seat but she didn’t like being in it, so we’re trying not to use it. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to help?

Do you have a shower?

We don't have a bath. Just a big walk in shower. He showers every night with one of us and just stands up if he wants to 🤷🏻‍♀️ why can't she just stand up while you wash her?

Since DD decided she could pull to standing the bath seat has become dangerous.
She just wants to stand in the bath all the time which does make it tricky.
Ive invested in a good quality, non-slip bath mat and a load of toys.
She loves her stacking cups so I line them up along the side of the bath against the wall and she will stand to play with them.
When standing i 'support' her and give her a thorough wash at the same time.
Works well and no drama as she is still playing.

Ours is the same. We got her following the instruction to 'sit down' out of the bath for fun things she enjoys such as reading. Now we ask her to sit down for hair wash and brushing her teeth in the bath and do a quick body scrub while she's sat. She generally follows it, albeit briefly and I might have to hold her arm to keep her sat down long enough. The rest of the time she just stands up - it's a battle I can't be bothered to have! I assume she'll sit down some time 🤷‍♀️
