10m old, too much milk

My son is 10m. He is a big baby, 98th percentile. He is still drinking 35oz milk in 24h. He has 5x 7oz bottles.
I'm worried about how we are ever going to be able to cut this down, but I feel we need to as he is completely disinterested in food.

He has a bottle at 9.30am, 1.30pm, 7pm, 10.30pm and 3.30am.

He prefers to self feed although very little actually gets eaten. We tend to top him up with yoghurts abd fruit and veg pouches.

Another problem is he gags A LOT and sometimes is actually sick. Usually it is with savoury flavours or anything with slight lumps.

He is cmpa so he is on neocate formula. I was wondering if maybe we needed to start giving him water instead of milk on one of the feeds.

Any advice please!

That is a lot.

Does he have his milk before or after meals? I'd offer it as a drink after meals so he eats his solids first.

I'd replace a couple of those bottles with snacks and water as well.

@Twizbe we make sure he has his milk after meals, he has breakfast at 7.30am and milk at 9.30am, then lunch at 12 and milk at 1.30pm.
Problem is he has his milk before each nap, it's become part of his winding down for bed.

Time for some new sleep associations. I found swapping the order helped so that milk was the first thing we did at sleep time not the last.

@Twizbe thanks for that. Would you recommend swapping out milk for water or just drop the feeds all together? Just trying to figure out what I would do when he woke in the night, so used to just feeding him and him going back to sleep!

So I fed to sleep at night until it stopped working. Then I sleep training using controlled crying. Did that for both kids at around 9 months old.

It worked in a couple of nights
