I had a section on Friday and was told baby could be a lot more sick and have more mucus cos of this. She has been sick quite a bit recently and I’m not sure whether or not to feed her more as she’s essentially bringing up her bottle that she’s not long had, she is formula fed also

Sounds rough OP! Have you had your follow up meeting with the midwife yet? Def raise it with them.

Generally speaking its true - as baby hasnt been squeezed out of the vaginal canal they do tend to have more muck in their pipes!

I haven’t FF but I think just keep feeding her and she’ll take what she needs. DD was born by CS and both puked and had several quite scary major snot explosions. It went within a few days.

Ask your midwife or HV if you’re worried, that’s what they’re there for. And congrats on your baby!

My midwife confirmed this was normal for her to be a bit more sickly, I think I’ll raise it again with her when she’s out tomorrow on what to do ! Just worried on how much sick is too much !!

Its astonishing how much such a tiny person can expel from their body!

Hope it all goes ok OP - congrats on the new baby!
