Did your baby/child start sleeping?

I ask because my 2nd child is 2.5 and still wakes up every single night. Sometimes for a couple of hours.

I have a nearly 3 year old and a 5.5 year old. Still waiting for both to sleep through.

Scoundrella · 24/09/2022 20:41

5 for yeh eldest. My 4 & 3 yrs old still wake up at least once (but are easier to settle than the eldest was) we’ve found having a tonie box helps they can just put a story back on and drift back off without much input

I think he was almost 7.

Rinatinabina · 24/09/2022 20:42

Close to 3 and dropped nap (properly) 4 months ago. Has started sleeping through recently but this was after a bout of waking for hours at night. So who knows if it’ll stick.

roarfeckingroarr · 24/09/2022 20:42

Around 14 months. Sometimes he wakes up but not often. Night weaning was the saviour.

Uh oh. Some of these answers are filling me with dread😂😂.

My first Daughter slept from 6 months old so o sort of assumed the same would happen but no!!

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 24/09/2022 21:20

9 weeks
3.5 years!

polkadotpixie · 24/09/2022 21:42

DS slept through from 8 weeks until he turned 2 and then never again 😩 He's 4 now and still wakes up every night, I've aged about 10 years in the last 2

SallyWD · 24/09/2022 21:45

Both of mine were 12 months old.

Jules912 · 24/09/2022 21:51

DS about 9 months when he was eating a reasonable amount.
DD somewhere between 3 and 4. Until that point she wouldn't sleep more than a few hours unless literally on top of me ( I'd let her lie next to me in hope of getting some sleep, but she'd always climb up once I was asleep and wake if I tried to roll her off).

MothsAndWaspsAreUsefulPollinators · 24/09/2022 22:45

Varied between 2 weeks and 5 months with my lot.

I know, I was very lucky on this one.

But I have friends who, despite their best efforts with sleeping regimes, calm bedtimes, all that jazz, whose children were about 5. Several siblings in some cases, just one of the children in others.

So you are very much not alone.

MolliciousIntent · 25/09/2022 07:02

When I taught them how. 10m and 7m respectively.

Endlesslaundry123 · 25/09/2022 16:59

5 months down to one waking, 9 months slept through. But I did sleep training.

Flopisfatteningbingforchristmas · 25/09/2022 18:30

First a 2. My second is 3 and no sleeping.
